C.U.S.S.

Erin Boyle is a Communications undergrad at Carleton University. From a small town located just outside of Hamilton, Erin has a passion for music and social media. This year she is the Social Media Director  at CUSS (Carleton Communication Undergraduate Student Society). I reached out to Erin to find out more about what CUSS does and what is involved in being a member.

Erin got involved with CUSS during her first year of university. The CUSS executive team spoke to her about it and she saw it as an amazing experience that would provide her with not only the opportunity to get involved with her program but also make friends.

CUSS hosts networking events and other different activities throughout the academic year to get students more involved both on and off campus. As the Social Media Director, Erin runs all CUSS platforms and ensures information is provided about upcoming events and opportunities. As well, she is the first point of contact for both students and faculty members who contact the social pages.

CUSS holds a heavy presence within the Carleton community, participating in fundraising events such as the Relay for Life and hosting events such as COMS IRL, a professional development conference. Another cool event hosted by CUSS is Pints with Profs, an annual networking even with professors.

” Something that I find AWESOME about CUSS is that every exec member brings something unique to the team and that is what makes our society stand out. With this we also have a bond – similar to that of a family which is probably my favourite part. I feel that every member of the exec brings a specialty to our COMS family”

Thank you Erin for informing us about CUSS! Find them on facebook here!
